My two little humans broke up with bananas, so I was left with a bowl of over ripe ones. During nap tine, I decided to convert some into something tasty before they got to the point of no return. These banana cake bars are super quick to make, and a lovely sweet pick me up in the afternoon (or after dinner)!

From Alice Nivens Cafe fame, this crumble is the bees kneez. I don’t know what makes it work, so I don’t dare change the process - you’re going to have to trust me when I say, par-bake it! Recently I tried this recipe with soft brown sugar for a more caramelised flavour and it took my apple crumble muffins to the next level!
Read MoreRainy day granola (gluten free & accidentally vegan!)
Literally named ‘rainy day granola’ because it was a dark n’ stormy Sunday, thus I didn’t want to go out the shops for groceries! I made this just before the COVID-19 lockdowns began in Melbourne, but now that I have a newborn I can barely go out even though lockdowns have been lifted! I think it’s something delicious you can make at home quick & swiftly!
Read MoreEasy indulgent cookies
Two days after I finished our cookie stash at home, I felt sad & insatiable again despite rummaging the house for afternoon tea snacks. I don’t have a stand mixer at home as it’s in the work studio so I had a play around with several recipes and this amazing cookie was born! Chewy, soft & supple straight out of the oven with molten honeycomb - perfect for a rainy afternoon pick me up!

However, during the recent Covid-19 lockdowns, I got sick of making three meals a day and started to buy store bought granola, which is a luxury that quickly started to add up. After trying many different granolas in the last few weeks though, I’ve made this one based on one my husband’s current favourites from The Source - but wheat free!
Read MoreSourdough starter discard pancakes
Since I started making my own sourdough loaves, I’ve tried not to throw out the starter discard every time I feed the starter. For a while I was making crumpets for my husband’s breakfast & it was exciting for a while but after months of it…well it was time for something new!
Read MoreGluten Free (accidentally vegan) Gingerbread Granola
I’ve been trying out new breakfast options recently since we decided to stay at home on the weekends. After browsing cyberspace for some inspo I decided to try my hand at a gingerbread inspired granola - but made gluten free! It’s perfect for the upcoming festive season, so you can definitely enjoy this on Christmas morning if you feel that way inclined; but I think its going to be delicious all year round!
Read MoreChocolate Chip & Honeycomb Cookies
I’m definitely a doomsday preper styled holiday maker. I feel the urgency to eat everything in the house, clean profusely & spring clean in the days leading up to a trip - even though sometimes I am away for a night. On a whim to finish the honeycomb at home before flying out, I decided to chuck it in my chocolate chip cookie recipe from the cafe.
